Ancient Village of Torre Maina

A gem of ancient beauty located at the foot of the Modenese hills, just a few kilometers from Maranello.

Today, the Ancient Village is part of the "Maranello Resort Borgo Torre della Montina" project, a resort built with utmost respect for the history and nature of the area, offering the unique opportunity to stay inside the tower.

Church of St. Biagio

The parish church of Maranello, dedicated to San Biagio, dates back to the early 1900s and was built by the local community to replace the old parish church near the castle, which had become distant, inconvenient, and no longer suitable for the growing population.

Today, the Church of San Biagio features a musealization project aimed at safeguarding and enhancing its historical and artistic heritage. The church offers an engaging narrative of its history through audio-visual and textual information.

The parish is located at: Via Abetone Inferiore, 37, 41053 Maranello MO.

The Mabic Library

Mabic is the library of Maranello, designed by architects Arata Isozaki and Andrea Maffei. It complements the city's other design landmarks: the Wind Tunnel by Renzo Piano, the Ferrari Citadel by Massimiliano Fuksas, and the engine assembly building by Jean Nouvel.

The cultural center of Maranello is available to the public for book lending services, conference rooms, and events.

Salse di Nirano

The Salse di Nirano Mud Volcanoes are one of the most fascinating geological phenomena in Italy. Located in the municipality of Fiorano Modenese, just a short distance from Maranello, these curious formations are volcanoes that erupt cold mud, rich in hydrocarbons and minerals. The mud volcanoes, created by the release of methane gas through clay deposits, form mud cones of various sizes and craters, creating a landscape that is almost lunar.

This natural phenomenon is unique in its kind and fascinates visitors of all ages. The area is protected as the Nirano Mud Volcano Nature Reserve, a natural oasis that preserves a wide biodiversity. Here, in addition to admiring the spectacular geological features, it is possible to walk along well-marked paths that cross meadows and forests, observing the local flora and fauna.

The Visitor Center of the reserve offers detailed information about the mud volcano phenomenon and the ecological importance of the area. Additionally, guided tours, educational activities, and workshops for schools and families are organized, making the Salse di Nirano an ideal destination for nature lovers who wish to explore one of the most curious and lesser-known corners of Emilia-Romagna.
